The internet is full to the brim with wonderful music just waiting to be discovered and here at lola&grace we endeavour to share the best of our new discoveries with you! Today we have a bit of a treat for you, a multiple artist post introducing you to three amazing but little known R&B artists, who we think are on the brink of breaking the big time. An added bonus is that they all make their music available to download for free!

The XO Gang first caught our attention last year. In their hometown of Toronto they have gathered some amazing talents who are hard to ignore.

First there is The Weeknd, 22 year old Abel Tesfaye originally from Ethiopia but born and raised in Toronto. He has 3 incredible mix tapes on his website all worth a download and listen. His first single ‘the knowing’ is taken from the first one, we were blown away by his raw vocals and can literally not wait until the wireless festival where he will be performing. As will his much hyped R&B buddy Drake! Got your tickets yet?

Another XO Gang talent we’re rather partial to, simply goes by the name Julian. His silky smooth voice had us entranced from the get go, we can’t wait for the day he releases a full album! But until then we’ll just be enjoying the beautiful songs he has released so far, as you can too…

And now on to Chicago, where we found Charles Hammond Jr. An R&B crooner with an amazing sound influenced by jazz. He released his first EP earlier this month on Bandcamp, a brilliant source of amazing new music and of course, free downloads!
