No one does whimsy like Wes (Anderson) and if these promo shots for his new film Moonrise Kingdom are anything to go by, then it’s fair to say he’s served up another cult classic. If you’re anything like us then you will adore the weird and wonderful works that Wes Anderson’s beautiful imagination has created over the years, from the Royal Tenenbaums to The Life Aquatic, we love his surreal sets and slightly odd characters.
Set in the fuzzy nostalgia of the sixties, it depicts a story of young love on an island off the coast of New England. Slightly weird, absolutely magical we can’t wait to find out more! Not only is the wardrobe amazing (we’ve been lusting after knee socks and A-line dresses ever since we first laid eyes on these pics) but the film also stars some of our favourite actors (Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis) and our ultimate secret actor crush, Ed Norton!
The film is released in UK cinemas today so make sure you head to the pictures for another bite of Wes Anderson’s quirky imagination.
